Constructing 45 Degree Outside Corners |
|
PLEASE NOTE:
You will need 4x8x16" solid split face units.
Cut the 16" units in half to make two 4x8x8" units.
Saw off one corner of this unit at a 35 degree angle (45 degrees minus 10 degrees to allow for the angle built into the StoneWall SELECT unit), as shown. |
|
First Course
Place angle cut unit as shown. Place StoneWall SELECT unit against angle cut unit and a 45 degree angle is formed.
Apply adhesive to solid corner unit.
Note: A 10 degree pie shaped gap will be created where the square side of the angle cut unit contacts the 10 degree angle of the StoneWall SELECT unit. |
|
Second Course
Place StoneWall SELECT unit over angle cut unit on first course. Place next angle cut unit as shown. Lay additional StoneWall SELECT units.
Apply adhesive to angle cut unit.
Proceed with additional courses, alternating the angle cut units, as shown. |
Constructing 45 Degree Inside Corners |
|
PLEASE NOTE:
You will need 4x8x16" solid split face units.
Make a 55 degree angle cut on the 16" unit at 8" as shown (45 degrees plus 10 degrees to allow for the 10 degree angle built into the StoneWall SELECT units).
The 8" dimension maintains the running bond (half bond). |
